The Role

The school is seeking an imaginative and dedicated Drama Teacher to deliver high-quality lessons across KS3 KS4 and KS5. Drama is a cornerstone of the schools cultural life and you will be expected to foster an environment where students feel confident to take creative risks and explore a wide range of practitioners.

You will lead practical workshops and theory-based seminars on everything from Stanislavski and Brecht to contemporary devised theatre. A key part of this role is the leadership of a thriving extra-curricular programme including directing major school productions coordinating showcases and maintaining the schools prestigious links with local West End theatres.

Person Specification

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

  • A strong degree in Drama Theatre Studies or a related Performing Arts field.

  • Proven experience teaching Drama at GCSE and A-Level (familiarity with Edexcel or AQA specifications is an advantage).

  • A versatile practitioner with skills in performance directing and/or technical theatre.

  • The ability to inspire students of all abilities fostering both academic success and artistic growth.

  • Commitment to the schools Outstanding standards of behaviour and academic rigour.
