As a key member of the Quality Assurance (QA)teamthe software test specialist will play a crucial role in testing andvalidatingthevarious software systems thatpowerstheVideriplatform. This will include the embedded system software for our hardware theapplicationsandthe cloud-based software. This role will involve a deep understanding of how the software intersects with ourhardwarefrom an end-to-end level.

You willbe responsible forcrafting and executing comprehensive test plansleveragingboth manual andlow-leveltesting methods throughout development and release cycles.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop andmaintaintest plans and test cases for embedded system software and related applications using both white-box and black-box testing methodologies.

• Serve ascontactpoint for verifying andvalidatingnew hardware configurations in conjunction with software releases.

• Creationand executionof automated test suites/test scripts using industry standard automation toolsto streamline tests.

• Document and log all defectsencounteredduring test cycle and development phases.

• Verify andvalidateissues that have been resolved for software releases.

• Provide feedback and guidance to the development team during the debugging process.

• Bedetailorientated by helping analyze root causes of potential defects.

• Be an effective bridge between the Firmware and QA teams to ensure that testing and quality standards are upheld.

• Document and report effectively daily activitieswith your manager.

• Collaborate with the team to ensure deliverables meet high-quality standards and deadlines.

Requirements

• Knowledge of Android system software such astheir operating system and mobile applications.

• Functional knowledge and experience with mobile developmenttooland debuggers such asXcode and Android studio (havingbothareassets).

• Functional knowledge and experiencewithQA test applications such as JIRA Test Rail etc.

• Experience in scripting languages such asBash and Python.

• Functional knowledge with Linux.

• Knowledge of GIT and/or source code management systems.

• Functional knowledgeand experience withelectronics andcomponentsintegration at both software/hardware levels.

• Haveproficiencywithhandlingelectronic hardware and equipment.

• Ability toutilizetesting equipment such as a multi-meteroscilloscope networkingtools (Wireshark and Nast) powermetersand logic analyzer etc.

• Familiarity and knowledge with Web based applications.

• Familiaritywith Agile software development.

  
  

Skills Required

• Computeror HardwareEngineering degreeor relevant certification

• 2-5 years of experience in software testing

• Have the skill tocommunicateclearly and concisely in written and verbal forms.

• Ability to think outside-of-box during the validation process and not always take the standard path.

• Be able to take direction with ease and execute on provided tasks efficiently.

• Be able to work independently and within a focused team environment.

• Havea passion for the latest hardware and software on the market.

• Excellent written skills in English
