Job Summary
Duties
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor patients vital signs and report any changes in their condition.
- Assist with acute pain management and provide comfort measures.
- Conduct diagnostic evaluations and assist in laboratory procedures.
- Provide care to patients in inpatient settings ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Educate patients and families on health management and wellness strategies.
- Perform phlebotomy as needed for laboratory tests.
- Support occupational health initiatives by promoting workplace health standards.
Skills
- Experience in nursing home environments or acute care settings is preferred.
- Proficiency in home care practices and hospice care methodologies.
- Strong understanding of diagnostic evaluation processes and laboratory protocols.
- Ability to manage multiple patients effectively while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients families and healthcare professionals.
- Familiarity with healthcare systems and electronic medical records (EMR).
