Job Title: Fertilizer Blender

Job Location: Camarillo CA

Duration: Full-time

Summary:

Direct responsible for the fertilizer mixes for all sites at Camarillo facility as they are provided by the growers. Keeps track of fertilizer inventory and helps the Purchasing Team to make sure that fertilizer orders are placed on time. Also keeps track of the level of the Hydrogen Peroxide and Peroxan used to disinfect water for the ebb & flow system and refill / replace the totes when they are empty.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

Fertilizer:

• Monitor fertilizer blends and tank levels for all sites at Camarillo facility
• Move fertilizers Acids Disinfectant products Chlorine products with the forklift from the warehouse to the stages
• Make sure that fertilizer mixes are made on time and according to the mix provided by the growers
• Keep a log with how many mixes have been made during the week for each site
• Keeps track of fertilizer inventory and provide inventory data to the Purchasing Team as required
• Works together with the Head grower to ensure that fertilizer orders are made on time

Labor

• Maintaining blending equipment work areas and ensuring a clean and safe work environment.
• Move fertilizers to the warehouse when they arrive on site
• Assist with the liquid bulk / totes deliveries such as Hydrogen Peroxide Phosphoric Acid Nitric Acid Bleach Peroxan

Information required to be reviewed

• Fills in the movement sheet for Fertilizers Hydrogen Peroxide Phosphoric Acid Nitric Acid Bleach Peroxan
• Hands over inventory sheet to Purchasing Team as required

Skills and Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to operate machinery including forklifts.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations.
• Physical fitness to perform repetitive tasks and lift heavy objects.
• Valid drivers license (may be required).
• High School Diploma or GED and or basic reading and writing.

Required:

• Must be 21 years of age
• Bilingual preferred
• Able to work independently and in a team environment
• Able to drive a forklift
• Ability to maintain a positive attitude
• Authorized to work in the United States
• This position requires a 40-hour minimum work week
• Must be able to write and communicate effectively with the entire team.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to exert up to 55-60 pounds occasionally to lift and move product.
• Ability to balance reach grasp while climbing on a step stool and/ or ladder.
• Ability to crouch grasp and lift products above shoulders to lift product from the floor properly.
• Ability to be on feet while performing job responsibilities.
• I must be able to wear an N95 mask
