Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Service Manager to lead branch service operations drive team performance and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction. This role is responsible for managing service personnel supporting customer retention and account growth maintaining operational standards and partnering with branch leadership to achieve overall business goals. The ideal candidate is a strong people leader with a background in route-based service operations and a commitment to customer success accountability and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and develop the service team to achieve performance retention and customer satisfaction goals
Coach frontline leaders and service personnel through regular communication training performance feedback and team development
Oversee route operations to ensure efficient service delivery strong customer relationships and timely issue resolution
Support customer retention efforts by maintaining service quality and responding proactively to service concerns
Partner with team members on customer visits route reviews and service-related problem solving
Ensure new customer setups and account transitions are handled effectively and professionally
Monitor service performance departmental expenses and overall branch service results
Maintain compliance with company procedures safety requirements HR policies and operational standards
Oversee vehicle-related compliance service documentation and required records for the department
Collaborate with branch leadership and other departments to improve service execution and overall branch performance
Communicate expectations updates and process changes clearly across the service team
Help identify opportunities for account growth improved product mix and stronger customer engagement
Qualifications
Previous leadership experience in service operations route management customer service or a related field
Strong people management coaching and team development skills
Experience handling customer escalations service quality issues and account retention efforts
Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining strong organization and follow-through
Good understanding of operational processes safety standards and team accountability
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Valid drivers license and clean driving record required
Must be at least 21 years of age
Preferred Background
Experience in textile services uniform rental linen services route delivery or similar service-based operations preferred
Background in route sales branch operations or customer account management is a plus
Comfortable working in a fast-paced team-oriented environment with both field and branch responsibilities.
