SRE Site Reliability Engineer Senior

Job Title: Senior Release Engineer - Hybrid

Job Description:
As a Senior Release Engineer you will design implement and continuously improve structured automated release management and CI/CD practices to ensure reliable and efficient delivery of software enhancements and fixes. You will collaborate across engineering operations and reliability teams to standardize release workflows reduce deployment risk and leverage automation monitoring and metrics to maintain high system stability in a regulated enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define and standardize clear release processes covering build test deploy rollback and validation activities.
• Build automate and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support safe repeatable and incremental releases.
• Collaborate with development teams to align source control build testing and deployment practices.
• Manage and oversee end to end release cycles including major minor and hotfix releases.
• Develop and maintain detailed release documentation runbooks and training materials.
• Integrate monitoring and metrics to track release velocity quality and system impact.
• Analyze release outcomes and lead continuous improvement through feedback and postmortems.
• Support reliable operations by coordinating deployments and minimizing service disruption.

Required Skills Experiences Education and Competencies:

• 5 7 years of experience in release engineering site reliability engineering or DevOps roles.
• Strong expertise with CI/CD tools and version control platforms including GitHub GitHub Actions and Bitbucket.
• Experience administering and supporting Windows and Linux environments.
• Working knowledge of SQL Server and Oracle database operations.
• Experience with public cloud platforms such as AWS or Google Cloud and data platforms like Snowflake.
• Familiarity with job scheduling tools such as Control M.
• Experience integrating observability and monitoring to measure release performance.
• Strong automation skills and familiarity with at least one scripting or programming language.
• Excellent analytical documentation and cross functional communication skills.
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.

The hourly range for roles of this nature are $55.00 to $75.00/hr. Rates are heavily dependent on skills experience location and industry.
