Mobile Health Team Inc. is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse- Primary Care for a 13-week travel assignment in Juneau AK 99801.


Contract Details
  • Days M-F 8a-5p closed holidays

  • Hourly Pay: $ 59.00
  • Non-taxed Stipend: $1246.00
  • Weekly Total Pay: $3016.00
  • Vaccine Requirement: PROOF OF FLU VACCINE REQUIRED
  • EMR Used: Meditech
  • Traveler Policy: Start date will be no less than 5 weeks after travelers fingerprint cards are received at clients in Juneau for processing. Upon acceptance please have your traveler make an appointment for fingerprints and get them in the mail within 2-3 days to avoid the start date getting pushed back.

This position functions within the Healthcare for the Homeless Primary Care Program to assist patients and medical staff within the ambulatory care setting responsible for the overall operation of the clinic.

Maintains skill sets annual competencies certifications and participates in in-services and educational programs within the Clinic as assigned; completes all mandatory training; attends and participates in staff meetings; adheres to infection control policy and procedures. Maintains a clean and safe working environment including adequate supplies and upkeep of unit and equipment reporting any defective or missing equipment and safety hazards; refers un-resolved problems with patients/coworkers/visitors to department manager or administrative manager for resolution; addresses employee concerns consistent with Human Resources Policy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical services including working with providers clinic staff and management to ensure excellent quality of care and services efficient utilization of resources and compliance with standards.
  • Maintain medication inventory and supplies not on the Warehouse PAR system.
  • Ensure that the necessary quality control checks are done with the Point of Care tests.
  • Clearly and correctly document all care and services provided in the clinic completing nurse duties professionally and on time.

  • Assist providers and other staff as needed anticipating the needs of these individuals to ensure efficient and quality patient care.
  • Communicate effectively with other departments to be an effective resource for their patients providers and fellow clinic staff.

Compensation:

  • Weekly Pay (hourly) Non-taxed Stipend (if eligible)

Requirements


Minimum Requirements:
  • MUST HAVE ACTIVE ALASKA LICENSE AT TIME OF SUBMITTAL
  • Current full unrestricted Registered Nursing license in Alaska is required. Agency staff must have an active Alaska license at time of submittal.
  • Must have Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • A minimum of 2 years of primary care experience is required
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Knowledge of the Nursing process and the ability to apply this in the working environment is necessary.
  • Knowledge of customer service principles is required.
  • Knowledge of safety and infection control principles is required.
  • Must be skilled in completing assessments anticipation of needs and specimen collection.
  • Must be able to use equipment such as computers and medical equipment.
  • Must have effective oral and written communications skills.
  • Must be able to Multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be a team-player.
  • Must be willing to teach when appropriate.
  • Problem-solve and use critical thinking skills to develop and maintain good working relations with other staff and departments.
