About the Role
A hands-on systems engineering role supporting enterprise IoT deployments alongside broader infrastructure work. This is not a Windows admin or L1 support position the client needs L2 to early L3 depth across devices networks servers and SaaS platforms.
Youll be involved in device configuration patch testing rollout activities and troubleshooting across a mixed environment that includes IoT systems (building management lighting occupancy air quality) Windows and Linux servers and cloud/SaaS platforms.
Requirements
What Youll Be Doing
Supporting and implementing enterprise IoT/OT device infrastructure config maintenance patching troubleshooting
Translating architectural designs and requirements into operational implementations
Performing patch testing deployments and device validation
Troubleshooting complex issues across device network server and platform layers
Managing migration refurbishment and new IoT platform rollout projects
Writing and maintaining runbooks technical documentation and operational guides
Ensuring compliance with enterprise security standards auth authorisation encryption
Working with vendors and stakeholders to implement and future-proof systems
What We Need
Windows and Linux server administration
Networking: firewalls load balancers proxies VLANs subnets
IoT/OT device configuration troubleshooting and support across multiple platforms
SaaS platform experience including SAML and OIDC
Security fundamentals: authentication authorisation encryption
Strong documentation skills clear maintainable and auditable
Comfortable in a high-security production enterprise environment
Required Skills:
Essential technical skills: - 5-7 years work experience in system integrator or enterprise field - Solid routing and switching knowledge specifically: OSPF BGP MPLS RSTP EtherChannel - Working experience with Catalyst product line (preferably Catalyst 9000) - Good understanding of network security techniques such as IPSEC MACSec MAB/802.1x - Good understanding of Wireless (preferably Cisco) - Conceptual knowledge of QoS - Scripting in bash python - Experience with Ansible Desired technical skills: - Work experience with overlay based solution (SDWAN SD Access ACI EVPN-VXLAN) - Work experience with IOT networks - Knowledge of endpoint profiling (ISE Armis Forescout etc.) - Work experience with Catalyst Center (formerly DNAc) - Experience with Terraform Netconf - Experience with Ekahau EU/EEA work eligibility
