This position is responsible for shipping and receiving all parts (including customer orders) raw materials and other various items for FSNA.
2.0 Primary Functions
- Receives customer parts records serial numbers and visually checks parts for general issues prior to Processing or Quality Control inspection.
- Ships customer parts to customer or outside processor and validates quantity general condition serial numbers and packaging integrity.
- For shipments to outside processors retains and forwards travellers to Quality Control for tracking purposes.
- Receives raw materials spare parts office supplies and other various items and fills out proper receiving reports validating item count condition and conformity forwards receiving reports to Purchasing for proper accounting.
- Storage and retrieval of material from pallet racks.
- When shipping orders and documents are received from Planning/Logistics calls appropriate common carrier based on size and destination of packages.
- Maintains inventory of shipping supplies to adequately package and ship goods.
- Keeps shipping and receiving department organized and clean on a daily basis.
- Supports production purchasing accounting sales and logistics activities.
- Wears appropriate PPE as required for the position.
- Supports and adheres to company policies and procedures.
- Supports and follows QMS guidelines and directions.
3.0 Additional Duties
- Provides additional duties as required.
4.0 Knowledge Skills Abilities
- Understands and utilizes best practices of inspecting counting shipping and receiving goods.
- Understands common carrier routes and utilizes knowledge to find efficient shipping methods.
- A general ability to identify various types of customer parts.
- Appropriate Safety knowledge.
- Ability to operate forklift and other material handling equipment.
- Ability to bend twist climb stoop or stand.
- Ability to spend time sitting at a desk or workstation.
- Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to pay attention to detail and follow detailed written and verbal instructions.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- An essential function for this position based on business necessity is that the employee must be physically in attendance at his/her workstation at the designated company office location during the normal business hours
5.0 Working Conditions
This position is an inside position working 100% of the time in a non-climate controlled environment.
