Description

The Chiller Customer Engineer (Technician) Commissioning is a critical technical role within Vertivs ANZ Service division responsible for delivering the full commissioning lifecycle of Vertivs range of large Industrial Chiller units across the ANZ region. Operating under the direction of the Service Operations Manager Start Up Services ANZ the incumbent will execute L2 L3 and L4 commissioning tasks to the highest standards of quality safety and customer satisfaction.

The role demands a highly skilled and experienced chiller technician who can work autonomously on complex large-scale sites. This will include Data Centres and industrial facilities. This position is integral to Vertivs continued growth and service excellence in the ANZ market and the successful candidate will be expected to uphold Vertivs values of safety professionalism and technical ability always.

Key Responsibilities

Planning & Reporting:

  • Time Sheets- Digital reporting tool to be used to accurately record hours worked each day.
  • Commissioning/Service Reports - to be completed within set timeframes.
  • Proactively communicate project progress and any site issues to the Project Manager & Service Operations Manager.

Operational Delivery:

  • Own the commissioning process from start to finish -Youll lead the full commissioning cycle across Vertivs complete range of large Industrial Chiller units delivering critical infrastructure that keeps the worlds most important facilities running.
  • Work on landmark projects -Carry out L2 L3 and L4 commissioning tasks alongside experienced Vertiv Project & Commissioning Managers. If youve previously worked on Tier 1 Data Centre sites youll feel right at home here.
  • Broaden your expertise -This isnt a one-dimensional role. Youll also support the Service Team with maintenance and time & material works giving you exposure across the full asset lifecycle.

Daily Work Duties and expectations:

  • Travel to various sites includingremote locations requiring a validDrivers Licence.
  • Undertakeovernight or extended travelas project demands require.
  • Working on and around Energised Electrical equipmentadhering strictly to safety protocols.
  • Safely work onlive refrigerant lines and pressure vessels in compliance with refrigerant handling regulations and licensing requirements.
  • Working and Heights (needs Work at Heights Training and refreshed every 5 years)
  • Operate withinHVAC mechanical systems showing physical adaptability including working inawkward body positionsas required by the equipment configuration.
  • Undertakemanual handling tasks including lifting carrying and moving equipment and components following WHS guidelines (e.g Compressors Gas Bottles etc.).

Education/Qualification:
  • Mechanical Trade Certificate (state dependant)
  • Restricted Electrical Licence
  • Refrigerant Handling Licence
Specialist Knowledge:
  • Technical Chiller knowledge - data centres telecom commercial & industrial or similar industries (highly regarded).
Practical Experience:
  • Proven track record within the Chiller Industry as a commissioning/service technician.
  • Proven ability to work effectively under timeline constraints on large scale sites.
  • Controls & Networking knowledge is required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
