We are looking for a System Engineer to lead the design development and integration of complex regulated medical device hardware from concept through to this role you will define system architecture manage cross-functional interfaces across hardware firmware and mechanical design and ensure compliance with medical device regulations and standards. You will translate user and business needs into clear actionable and testable system and hardware specifications with a strong focus on reliability performance and manufacturability.
In this role you will for example:
- Define and own system architecture for complex high reliability communication devices including interfaces signal flows and system partitioning
- Act as technical authority leading cross functional integration and system bring up across hardware firmware and software
- Lead verification validation and risk management activities ensuring compliance with applicable medical device standards and regulations
- Translate user and business requirements into clear actionable and testable system and hardware specifications
- Validate system performance through simulations benchmarking and environmental testing
- Drive technical innovation and contribute to longterm technology roadmaps
- Collaborate closely with engineering design quality regulatory product and manufacturing partners
We are looking for someone that has:
- Masters degree in Electrical Engineering Engineering Physics Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in hardware system engineering or system architecture preferably within the medical device industry
- Deep technical expertise and broad crossfunctional knowledge across electronics firmware and mechanical systems
- Experience working in a regulated medical device or MedTech environment (Previous AAC experience is a strong plus)
- Solid understanding of standards and quality systems such as ISO 13485 IEC 60601 and ISO 14971

Practical information
This role is primarily office based with flexibility to work from home when needed. Some international travel may be required.
