A veterinary hospital is seeking an Urgent Care Veterinarian to join its growing team. This role is designed to bridge the gap between general practice and emergency care providing treatment for higher-acuity cases in a fast-paced collaborative position is ideal for veterinarians who enjoy urgent cases want to expand their clinical skills and value flexibility and strong team support.
Responsibilities
Evaluate and manage urgent care cases including acute illnesses and minor emergencies
Perform diagnostics develop treatment plans and provide timely medical care
Utilize diagnostic tools such as digital radiology ultrasound and in-house laboratory testing
Perform routine urgent care procedures and minor surgical interventions as needed
Collaborate with emergency and specialty teams for case consultations or referrals
Communicate clearly with pet owners regarding diagnoses treatment plans and follow-up care
Maintain accurate medical records and clinical documentation
Qualifications
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) degree from an accredited institution
Active or eligible veterinary license
Experience or interest in urgent care or emergency medicine
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Strong clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
