Supply Chain Technician

Based in Lynfield AsureQuality has the largest Food Testing Laboratory in the Southern Hemisphere.  To keep our laboratory running smoothly we need a Supply Chain Technician to support this important service within the organisation.  Currently we have a permanent role in our Team who will work across Despatch Stores and Inventory.

If you are organised detail-oriented and eager to learn then this multifaceted role is ideal.  You will be working with Inventory and Despatch assisting in managing our laboratory consumables and chemicals. This role offers the perfect opportunity to learn about inventory management procurement and logistics as you prepare and dispatch consumables to our clients.

As an Inventory and Despatch Technician youll learn and be responsible for:

• Assisting in the procurement of laboratory consumables and chemicals ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness.
• Helping in maintaining and organizing our inventory of laboratory consumables and chemicals.
• Tracking and recording of inventory levels.
• Processing orders and preparing consumables for shipment.
• Packing chemicals and other sensitive materials safely and securely.
• Coordinating with the team to ensure timely delivery to clients.
• Participating in regular inventory audits to identify any discrepancies.
• Collaborating with team members to learn and improve inventory control and procurement procedures.
• Addressing client queries regarding their orders.

To Thrive in This Role:

You should have a basic understanding of inventory management procurement and logistics or a strong willingness to learn. Familiarity with laboratory consumables and chemicals is advantageous. Good organisational skills attention to detail and basic proficiency in computer applications are expected. A customer-centric approach and the ability to multitask will also be beneficial.
