CEI Senior Inspector

Job Summary
AECOM is actively seeking a highly skilled CEI Senior Inspector to join our team and support ongoing construction engineering and inspection efforts in the Orlando FL area. This role will play a critical part in ensuring that major transportation and infrastructure projects are delivered in accordance with FDOT standards contract requirements and overall project objectives.
- Performs highly complex technical assignments related to field surveying and construction layout ensuring accuracy and adherence to project specifications
- Verifies engineering computations inspects construction work and conducts field testing to maintain quality and compliance standards
- Coordinates oversees and provides guidance to junior inspectors to ensure consistent execution of inspection activities
- Operates under the general supervision of the Project Administrator while exercising independent judgment in daily responsibilities
- Utilizes experience and sound judgment to effectively plan prioritize and accomplish project goals
- Establishes and manages project timelines and deadlines to support overall project delivery
- Provides on-the-job training and mentorship to new team members to support their development and integration
- Monitors conformance to quality performance specifications and applicable code requirements through detailed inspection activities
- Conducts daily field inspections and maintains accurate organized inspection records and reports
- Participates in punch list development system testing and commissioning activities to ensure project completion standards are met
- Tracks and reports on quality assurance progress identifying and addressing any deficiencies
- Contributes to documentation for area and equipment turnover packages ensuring completeness and accuracy for project closeout
Qualifications :
Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma plus 4 years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and or education
- U.S. Citizenship is required due to the nature of the work
- Valid US Drivers License required to visit project sites clients and other AECOM offices. As a condition of employment selected candidate must pass a Motor Vehicle Records review
Preferred Qualifications:
- Four (4) years of CEI experience in roadway or bridge construction
- CTQP Final Estimates Level I
- CTQP Concrete Field Technician Level I
- CTQP Concrete Field Inspector Level II (Bridges)
- CTQP Asphalt Roadway Level I
- CTQP Asphalt Roadway Level II
- CTQP Earthwork Construction Inspection Level I
- CTQP Earthwork Construction Inspection Level II
- CTQP Pile Driving Inspection
- CTQP Drilled Shaft Inspection
- FDOT Intermediate MOT
- IMSA Traffic Signal Inspector Level I
- Nuclear Radiation Safety
- Florida Stormwater Erosion and Sedimentation Control Training and Certification Program for Inspectors and Contractors
