We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Environmental Remediation Project Manager to join our Environmental Remediation team in Kenova West Virginia. This is an exciting opportunity to lead impactful environmental initiatives advance into a larger leadership role and contribute to AECOMs mission of delivering sustainable and innovative solutions for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Management:

  • Lead and manage environmental remediation assessment and oil & gas projects from initiation to completion.

  • Ensure projects are delivered on time within budget and in compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Technical Expertise:

  • Apply technical knowledge to address environmental challenges including remediation groundwater contamination soil treatment waste management and environmental compliance for oil and gas facilities refineries and industrial sites.

Client Relations:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients regulators and stakeholders.

  • Ensure excellent customer service and timely communication regarding project updates risks and outcomes.

Regulatory Compliance:

  • Stay up to date with environmental laws regulations and industry standards.

  • Ensure all projects comply with local state and federal environmental regulations.

Office Leadership:

  • Manage and lead a team of professionals within the local office.

  • Provide mentorship training and career development support to junior engineers geologists and project staff.

Business Development:

  • Support business development efforts by identifying new opportunities.

  • Assist with proposal development contract negotiations and client presentations.


Qualifications :

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in engineering geology environmental science or a related field.

  • 6 years of experience in site investigation remediation project management and business development or demonstrated equivalency of experience and education.

  • US Citizen or US Permanent Resident.

  • Valid Drivers License. 

  • Successful candidate will have to pass a drug screen and background check.  

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 10 years of experience in site investigation remediation project management and business development.

  • Licensed in the State of West Virginia or nearby states (Professional Engineer or Geologist).

  • Experience working with state regulatory agencies in West Virginia or surrounding states.

  • Experience in team management and scheduling of staff and resources to ensure on-time and on-budget project delivery.

  • Proven experience in business development.

  • 40-hour HAZWOPER certified (current) including 8-hour Supervisor training.

  • PMP certification.

  • Experience with regulator and stakeholder negotiations.

  • Demonstrated success in managing environmental projects for various types of clients.

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills both verbal and written.

  • Superior communication writing editing and reporting skills for diverse audiences.

  • Experience preparing proposals cost estimates schedules and change orders.
