SAF Sr. Engineer

Job Summary
SAF Sr. Engineer responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Serve as a customer technical contact.
- Interpret standards and apply the requirements to products under investigation.
- Create and implement test procedures.
- Conduct tests in accordance with standards and procedures record results.
- Ensure that test equipment is calibrated or tested and operates properly.
- Interface with and update the Lab Manager(s) Team Leader(s) and Project Coordinator(s).
- Assist as necessary with training of junior technicians and engineers.
- Review files and reports prepared by project engineers.
- Monitors multiple projects underway.
- Prepare certification reports and related documents.
- Assists department management with quoting.
- Keeps current with industry technical developments and disseminates to the team as necessary.
- Assist with conducting and monitoring training of testing personnel as necessary particularly in relevant field of expertise.
- Perform technical review of relevant reports and project files prepared by other engineers.
- Support management with Sales and Marketing activities.

Qualifications :
Basic Minimum Educational Requirements:
- Four-year college Engineering degree or other technical degree with relevant work experience
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years of direct work experience in product safety engineering and hazardous location equipment.
- Ability to maintain confidentially
- Needs to be receptive to and accepting guidance from others
- Ability to deal with difficult people and problems
- Able to work well in a team environment
- Able to work in a diverse group of people
- Attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments
- Professional appearance
- Willing to travel
- Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.
Physical Requirements for Position:
- Able to sit or stand for long periods of time
- Able to lift up to 30 pounds
