Legal Senior Manager Investee Company

ROLE PURPOSE

To partner closely with the business and ensure all legal operations run smoothly while contributing to the development of a strong legal foundation for future growth and expansion in Vietnam and international markets.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY

Legal Business Partnering:

• Provide clear practical legal advice to support day-to-day business decisions
• Balance legal risks with commercial priorities
• Partner with business teams to review draft and negotiate commercial agreements (including international partners and distributors)

External Counsel Coordination:

• Act as the main contact for external law firms (local and international)
• Coordinate on legal matters across jurisdictions
• Monitor timelines deliverables and quality of outputs

Expansion Activities:

• In charge of legal aspects of new market entries and international projects
• Work with external advisors on regulatory and entity setup requirements
• Be representative from Legal to join strategic expansion project as cross-functional taskforce team

Compliance & Risk Control:

• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and internal policies
• Identify potential risks in contracts and operations including cross-border risks and escalate when needed
• Maintain and update internal legal and compliance documents

Legal Operations & Administration:

• Manage day-to-day legal operations across the company
• Maintain and organize legal documentation templates and contract database
• Ensure proper record-keeping and document control including for cross-border agreements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelors degree in law
• Minimum 5 years of legal experience (law firm and/or in-house)
• Practical business-oriented mindset
• Detail-oriented well-organized and able to manage multiple priorities
• Fluent in English and Vietnamese

PREFERABLE REQUIREMENTS

• Exposure to cross-border or international legal matters
• Experience in FMCG retail or manufacturing environments
• Experience in improving legal processes and templates
