Job Summary

Job Description:

We are looking for a highly organized and results-driven Logistics and Warehouse Manager to oversee the daily operations of our logistics and warehouse functions at Meyer Plastics Inc. This role involves a combination of in-office and remote responsibilities to ensure efficient management of inventory warehouse operations shipping/receiving and logistics coordination. The ideal candidate will leverage technology to improve processes and team productivity while maintaining oversight on-site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily warehouse operations including inventory management order fulfillment and shipping/receiving.
  • Ensure products are stored handled and shipped according to company standards.
  • Maintain a safe clean and organized workspace in coordination with warehouse teams.
  • Manage stock levels reorder points and implement safety protocols to prevent accidents.
  • Track inventory movement and conduct regular audits for accuracy.
  • Manage logistics functions such as transportation route optimization and timely delivery of products.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and suppliers for shipping receiving and delivery.
  • Develop strategies to optimize transportation costs and enhance delivery timelines.
  • Utilize logistics software and ERP systems to monitor shipments and resolve issues promptly.
  • Lead train and motivate warehouse and logistics teams for high productivity levels.
  • Collaborate with HR to recruit hire and onboard new warehouse staff as needed.
  • Utilize logistics and warehouse management software to monitor operations and provide strategic remotely.
  • Analyze data on inventory shipping and delivery trends to drive improvements.
  • Prepare and present weekly reports on warehouse performance inventory levels and delivery metrics.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to streamline operations and reduce costs.
  • Stay updated on logistics industry trends and best practices for competitiveness and compliance.
  • Conduct regular training on new systems safety protocols and efficiency strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Experience:
    • 1 years of experience in logistics warehouse management or supply chain operations.
    • Proven leadership experience in managing warehouse and logistics teams.
    • Strong background in inventory management shipping and receiving.
  • Skills:
    • Proficiency in logistics and warehouse management software (e.g. WMS ERP systems SAP).
    • Excellent organizational analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a hybrid work environment.
    • Strong communication skills for team collaboration vendor management and customer relations.
  • Other:
    • Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance in warehouse settings.
    • Understanding of transportation and supply chain processes.
    • Ability to analyze data and drive operational improvements.
