As a Security Guard Full-Time Overnight Patrolin Brooklyn NY you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a government location where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents and support access control activities. You will interact with staff and visitors provide strong customer service and communication and contribute to a caring reliable team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

Job Schedule:

What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents visitors staff and/or agency personnel by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities at a government services location.
• Respond to incidents disturbances and/or critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or first responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility entry points common areas and perimeter to help identify unusual activity policy violations and/or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access to the location by verifying credentials checking designated areas and reporting unauthorized entry attempts suspicious behavior and/or prohibited items in accordance with site procedures.
• Support daily operations by preparing reports maintaining activity logs providing direction to the public and assisting with de-escalation during sensitive interactions in a professional manner.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
