Job Summary
Position Summary & Responsibilities
- Cardiac Monitoring:Interprets EKG/telemetry strips identifies arrhythmias and acts promptly on changes in vital signs.
- Patient Care:Provides comprehensive nursing care including medication administration wound care and managing patient care plans for cardiovascular patients.
- Assessment & Action:Rapidly assesses patients collaborating with specialists in a fast-paced environment.
- Documentation:Accurately documents cardiac data and patient interventions in Electronic Health Records (EHR).
- Communication:Educates patients and family members regarding procedures and post-hospital care.
Requirements
- Active RN license in Virginia or Compact state.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required.
- 1 years of experience in telemetry step-down or ICU preferred.
- Strong critical thinking and rhythm interpretation skills.
