Overview

The Florida Department of Health is seeking a Developer to support the development maintenance and enhancement of critical health systems. This is a long-term onsite contract role requiring strong experience with traditional technologies and a solid understanding of healthcare systems and compliance regulations.

Required Qualifications

10 years of development experience

Strong experience with traditional/ frameworks (not just Core)

Proficiency in C# SQL Server and JavaScript

Experience working in highly regulated environments must have healthcare

Knowledge of health data compliance standards (HIPAA or similar)

Ability to work onsite in Tallahassee FL (4 5 days/week)

Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience with state/government health systems

Experience supporting or modernizing legacy applications

Familiarity with system integrations and data exchange in healthcare environments

Additional Details

Long-term contract with strong likelihood of annual renewal

Candidates must be comfortable working onsite consistently (with potential for limited flexibility such as occasional Fridays off)
