Job Summary
- Patient Assessment & Care:Perform rapid accurate assessments initiate treatment and manage care for critically ill or injured patients in a Level 1 Trauma Center.
- Triage:Prioritize incoming patients based on the urgency of their needs.
- Intervention:Administer medications manage intravenous lines and assist with procedures such as intubations and sutures.
- Collaboration:Work alongside emergency physicians technicians and specialists to develop and implement care strategies.
- Communication:Provide clear effective communication with patient families emergency staff and support teams.
- Documentation:Maintain accurate timely documentation of vitals patient history and treatment in electronic health records.
- Experience:Previous Emergency Department or acute care experience is highly preferred.
- Licensure:Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid Virginia license or compact state license.
- Certification:BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) required; TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) preferred.
- Skills:Strong critical thinking stress management and emotional resilience in high-stakes situations.
- Regions first Magnet Hospital.
