Job Summary

The Materials Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the end-to-end supply chain operations including demand and supply planning inventory management warehouse operations and purchase activities for Drives and VIS. This role ensures the timely availability of materials and products cost efficiency and compliance with company standards and customer requirements.

Job Description

  • Develop and implement demand and supply plans to meet business objectives.
  • Monitor inventory levels and forecast requirements to avoid shortages or excess stock.
  • Coordinate with production customer service and sales teams to align supply chain strategies with business goals.

    Warehouse Management
  • Oversee warehouse operations ensuring accurate inventory control and efficient material handling.
  • Implement best practices for storage safety and space utilization.
  • Ensure timely dispatch and receipt of goods maintaining high service levels.

    Purchasing
  • Manage purchasing activities including supplier selection negotiation and contract management.
  • Ensure cost-effective purchasing while maintaining quality and delivery standards.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to secure reliable supply sources.

    General
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for supply chain efficiency and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies legal regulations and safety standards.
  • Lead and develop the supply chain team to achieve operational excellence.

Additional Job Details

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Education and Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in supply chain management Logistics Business Administration or related field desirable APICS certified
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain management including planning warehouse and purchasing.
  • Strong knowledge of ERP systems and supply chain software desirable Oracle.
  • Familiarity with lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • English verbal and written proficiency

Skills

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Leadership and team development capabilities.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and supply chain management tools.
