The Director of Admissions provides strategic leadership and day-to-day management of the Admissions Office advancing enrollment growth in alignment with the mission values and priorities of Bishop Dunne Catholic School.
As the only diocesan Catholic school serving students in grades six through twelve Bishop Dunne is proud to reflect the rich diversity of Dallas. More than 75% of our students identify as students of color and approximately half are Catholic.
The Director of Admissions oversees the full admissions lifecyclefrom inquiry through acceptance and enrollmentwhile also coordinating the financial aid and scholarship processes to ensure accessibility and support for both prospective and current families. The Director partners closely with the Advancement Office and school leadership to develop and execute enrollment marketing and outreach strategies that attract and retain qualified students.
Reporting to the President the Director of Admissions is a member of the Leadership Team and serves as a visible ambassador for the school fostering welcoming relationships with families partner schools parishes and the broader community.
Key Responsibilities
Lead all admissions recruitment enrollment and re-enrollment efforts
Establish annual enrollment goals and long-term enrollment vision
Communicate regularly with partner school principals admissions directors eighth-grade counselors and parish pastors
Plan and execute Open Houses tours shadow days and outreach events
Facilitate engagement with international students and families
Oversee financial aid and scholarship processes
Supervise and support admissions staff
Education & Experience
Bachelors degree in higher education or a related field (Masters degree preferred)
Experience in admissions or enrollment management (independent and/or Catholic school experience preferred)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Exceptional organizational skills with proven success managing multiple deadlines and events
Demonstrated ability to build relationships and collaborate across departments
High standard of confidentiality professionalism and integrity
Proficiency with Ravenna admissions and FACTS financial aid systems
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
Must be authorized to work in the United States
Must successfully complete a background check and comply with the Diocese of Dallas Safe Environment Program
