The Maintenance / Facilities Assistant will assist the Maintenance Director and the Housekeeping & Laundry Director in the completion of day-to-day activities involving all environmental services of the facility equipment and machinery - including HVAC lighting systems groundskeeping and overall facility appearance. This position will assist other maintenance and groundskeeping staff and assist in planning the services with outside vendors and contractors.

• 8 hour shifts
• Full Time position

• Follow established fire safety policies and procedures.
• Maintain facility in good repair ensuring a safe clean and orderly environment.
• Assist with routine maintenance on grounds parking areas driveways etc. by cutting trimming policing sweeping etc. as necessary/directed.
• Assist with routine maintenance and repair on the facility equipment to include plumbing plastering electrical carpentry and mechanical.
• Ensure that equipment and supplies are in good working order maintained used cleaned and stored safely and in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and facility policies.
• Assist with ordering and help maintain adequate level of supplies for the housekeeping department in a cost effective and efficient manner.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of related maintenance experience preferred.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents physicians visitors and all facility personnel.
• Basic computer skills; experience utilizing electronic work orders a plus.
