Vanderbijlpark - EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATOR FULL DAY
Area: Vanderbijlpark
Ages: 2.5 year old daughter - Asynchronous Development (Desynchrony) and hyper-fixation.
Working hours: Monday Friday: 07:00 - 17:00
School holiday hours: Monday Friday: 07:00 - 17:00
Duties: Curriculum Design: Plan and execute daily play-based learning activities that challenge the childs advanced cognitive abilities. Running 4x separate home school curriculums with the toddler. The curriculums are taught far quicker than a normal school based pace.
Assessment: Submit daily activity summaries and conduct formal term-based developmental assessments. Collaboration: Work closely with parents via a dedicated WhatsApp group to ensure consistency in educational approach. Behavioural Support: Maintain a calm kind and steady presence through the terrible twos focusing on emotional coaching and regulation. Fun and bubbly personality would be preferred. Future Growth: Be prepared to adapt as the child grows and as the private education centre expands to include more children. Light Duties: Assist with light household tasks and dog-sitting as part of the home-based environment.
Requirements: Education: . (Foundation Phase/ECD). Experience: Proven experience in a Nursery Preschool or Primary school setting. Experience with gifted or advanced toddlers/learners is a significant advantage. Professionalism: SACE registration (or eligibility for future registration). Valid First Aid Training (Infants/Toddlers). Communication: Exceptional English verbal and written skills (Bilingual Afrikaans-speakers must have well-articulated English). Character: A Christian who is self-motivated trustworthy and open to new concepts and able to receive creative criticism. Adaptability: Must be willing to research and implement new educational methods provided by the family. Example: Abacus is critical. Personal: Natural Female Non-smoker dog lover with own reliable and agile to keep up with the fast pace of a toddler. Must be able and willing to do things like craw on the floor jump rope and dig in dirt
Start date: ASAP permanent contract
Salary: R25000 per month (gross before deductions) SARS rates per km (R4.95) for any driving done directly for the family. Not to get to and from work.
All Au Pair Extraordinaire applicants must fill the following requirements:
**** Must have at least 12 consecutive months of formal child caring experience excluding work done for friends and family. This experience must be within the last 2 years.
****Must have their own reliable car and at least 18 months driving experience.
****Must have at least 2 contactable childcare references.
****Must have a clear criminal record
****Must have a passion for children
****Must have Matric
****Must have a South African ID document.
