Job Summary

Role: Product Owner (SAFe) - Embedded Software Engineer

Client: Defense-Aerospace

Hourly Rate: up to $54/hr W2 non-benefited

Length: Long-Term

Location:Ft. Wayne IN

Clearance: Ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire

Description:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product requirements and priorities.
Create and manage the product backlog ensuring it aligns with business objectives.
Participate in SAFe ceremonies including PI Planning to ensure smooth project execution.
Work closely with stakeholders to gather feedback and continuously improve the product.
Monitor progress and adjust priorities as needed to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality software.

Required Skills:

2-3 years of experience in a Product Owner role preferably with embedded software.
Strong understanding of SAFe principles and practices.
Proficiency in C C and C#.
Familiarity with real-time operating systems (RTOS).
Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear actionable tasks.
Proven track record of delivering successful software products.

Desired Skills:

Experience with embedded systems and software development.
Strong understanding of software development process as well as software engineering concepts principles and theories
SAFe certification or relevant training.
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
Passion for technology and innovation.
Domain experience in RF and GPS and Navigation system development implementation and integrations efforts.

Required Education and Experience:

Requires a Bachelors degree in Software Engineering or a related Science Engineering or Mathematics field. Also requires 5 years of job-related experience or a Masters degree plus 3 years of job-related experience.
