As a Software Engineer at JPMorganChase within the Commercial and Investment Bank Organization - Equities Sales & Trading TechnologyTeam youare an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance build and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure stable and scalable way. As a core technical contributor you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firms business objectives.

Job responsibilities

• Executes creative software solutions design development and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems

• Develops secure high-quality production code and reviews and debugs code written by others

• Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems

• Participates in communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies

• Develops high performance low latency order management systems and GUIs to support global trading desks and flows like Cash Delta1 and ETF RFQ

• Adds to team culture of diversity opportunity inclusion and respect

Required qualifications capabilities and skills

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3 years applied experience

• Proficient hands-on coding in TypeScript/JavaScript/React

• Experience in designing and implementing distributed systems

• Experience in design and development of high performance and low latency systems

• Demonstrated experience with UI/UX principles

• Hands-on experience with Web Development & Services

• Advanced knowledge of architecture and design

• Experience in developing debugging and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages

• Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle

• Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD Application Resiliency and Security

• Demonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g. cloud artificial intelligence machine learning mobile etc.)

Preferred qualifications capabilities and skills

• Familiarity with Testing Automation CI/CD Pipeline

• Knowledge of industry-wide technology trends and best practices

• Ability to work in large globally distributed collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals

• Understanding of software skills such as business analysis coding maintenance and continuous software improvement
