Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associates degree in business or related field.
- Two (2) years of related experience and/or training.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors Degree in business or related field.
- Five (5) years of related experience.
Relevant work experience or education may be substituted to satisfy minimum qualifications.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Clear and concise oral and written communication skills; organizational and management skills.
- Knowledge of pertinent regulations policies and procedures for the functional area of assignment.
- Knowledge of HIPAA Public Records Sunshine Law FERPA and other laws/regulations related to student and employee privacy public information and records retention.
- Knowledge of and experience with industry-standard equipment materials practices computers and applications.
- Ability to professionally and effectively respond to customer needs and requests for service or assistance.

- Provide accurate information to others demonstrating specific knowledge of governmental accounting federal and state legal statutes and Board policies.
- Write and interpret financial budgets.
- Ensure compliance with internal state and federal accounting guidelines.
- Use effective oral and written communication skills especially over the telephone.
- Organize self to accomplish tasks related to goals and prioritize items to discuss with supervisor.
- Provide customer-friendly service through the interaction with people at all levels of the school system and community.
- Perform reconciliations related to District accounting procedures.
- Take responsibility of training others in business financial functions.
- Work effectively under the stress of time personnel shortages and multiple requests.
- Perform Medicaid administrative claims reimbursable activities as directed in accordance with Chapter 3 of the federally approved School District Administrative Claiming (SDAC) Guide.
