Shift: Evening Shifts (3:00 PM11:00 PM or 4:00 PM12:00 AM) Every Other Weekend Occasional Holidays
Job Summary
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist (Rad Tech) to perform diagnostic imaging procedures that support accurate patient diagnosis and treatment. This role requires a strong focus on patient safety image quality and adherence to radiation protection standards in a fast-paced hospital environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures including X-rays and radiographic exams as ordered by physicians
- Prepare and position patients to ensure accurate imaging and patient comfort
- Operate radiologic equipment safely to produce high-quality diagnostic images
- Review images for quality and accuracy before submission to radiologists
- Follow strict radiation safety protocols to minimize exposure
- Accurately document procedures and patient information in EMR systems
- Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare teams to ensure efficient workflow
- Monitor patient condition during procedures and respond to any adverse reactions
- Maintain imaging equipment and report any malfunctions
- Adhere to infection control and hospital safety standards
Qualifications
- Active Radiologic Technologist license (Massachusetts required)
- ARRT certification required
- BLS certification (AHA) required
- Minimum 1 year of recent experience in a hospital or clinical setting
- Strong knowledge of radiographic procedures positioning and radiation safety
- Experience with PACS and EMR systems
- Excellent communication organizational and patient care skills
