Project Officer (DevOps & PMO Support) - 6 month contract

Role Purpose
For our ASX listed mining services client we are seeking a highly organised Project Officer to support the successful delivery of projects. This role will provide day-to-day delivery DevOps scheduling and governance supportensuring strong project control transparency and assurance as the program progresses through build testing and go-live.

Key Responsibilities

DevOps & Delivery Support

  • Administer Azure DevOps including user stories tasks defects and test cases
  • Maintain sprint structures and ensure backlog hygiene
  • Track build testing and defect progress
  • Ensure DevOps data aligns with agreed scope and schedule

Schedule Management

  • Maintain the integrated project schedule
  • Track milestone readiness and key dependencies
  • Identify schedule slippage and critical path impacts
  • Prepare schedule views for governance and assurance reporting

Governance & Meetings

  • Prepare agendas and reporting packs for governance forums
  • Capture clear minutes decisions and action items
  • Maintain action decision and escalation logs
  • Ensure timely distribution of governance outputs

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain core project artefacts including status reports RAID logs and dashboards
  • Ensure documentation is complete accurate and version-controlled
  • Support reporting for SteerCo ARMC and executive stakeholders

Risk Controls & Assurance Support

  • Track assurance actions and recommendations
  • Support evidence collation for internal and external reviews
  • Maintain traceability between delivery activities risks and decisions

Stakeholder Support

  • Support internal teams and system integrator vendors with delivery tracking
  • Act as a central coordination point for project data and reporting


Your Experience

  • Proven experience in a Project Officer or PMO role
  • Strong hands-on experience with Azure DevOps
  • Exposure to ERP implementations (e.g. D365) or large-scale transformation programs
  • Excellent written communication and organisational skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
