Job Summary

The Thought Disorders Unit is a 22-bed unit that treats patients with psychotic illnesses including Schizophrenia Schizoaffective Disorder Bipolar Disorders as well as Neuropsychiatric Disorders. Patients are treated under the expert care of experienced psychiatrists nursing and other clinical staff. With an average length of stay between 10 and 14 days the Thought Disorders Unit is unique as it is one of the few specialized units across the country that specifically cares for patients with psychotic illnesses.

As a Mental Health Worker you will:

  • Participate in the planning and evaluation of patient needs based on patient behaviors.
  • Provide direct patient care services in accordance with the treatment plan and under the direction of a professional nurse.
  • Assist in providing a safe and therapeutic environment according to established policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • HS Diploma/GED. Human Services related degree or past direct care or related experience strongly preferred.
  • Must be available to work every other weekend (Saturday & Sunday).
  • All new clinical staff will begin their extended clinical orientation/training immediately following your first day of employment.

The pay range for this position is $19.06 minimum to $22.95 maximum. Pay for this position is determined on a number of factors including but not limited to years and level of related experience.
