Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled 1st Class Welder/Fitter to join our team. This role involves fitting fabricating and welding structural components and piping systems according to specifications and blueprints. The ideal candidate is dependable detail-oriented and committed to quality and safety.
Must-Haves
- Experience as a 1st Class Welder/Fitter
- Ability to read blueprints and weld symbols
- Proficient in welding processes (SMAW FCAW GTAW as applicable)
- Strong fitting layout and measurement skills
- Ability to pass weld tests (if required)
- Reliable transportation
Preferred
- Experience with structural steel and/or pipe welding
- Shipyard fabrication or industrial experience
- AWS certifications
- OSHA training
Responsibilities
- Fit and assemble metal components
- Perform quality welds to specifications
- Inspect work for accuracy and defects
- Follow all safety standards
