Position: APS6 Logistics Support Officer

Duration: Approx 12 months with potential to extend
Pay rate: Rates negotiable dependent on skills and experience
Overview:
A Federal Government Department is seeking an experienced APS6 Logistics Support Officer to join a specialised security division. This role will support the management of security equipment and work closely with technical teams to assist with overseas installations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage project equipment stock levels and support procurement activities
- Coordinate deliveries and storage of equipment across Canberra and offsite locations
- Prepare and manage shipments to international locations
- Maintain accurate inventory registers for equipment both in Australia and overseas
- Conduct stocktakes and audits of security equipment
- Plan prioritise and organise work to meet deadlines under limited supervision
- Undertake additional tasks as directed
Skills and Experience:
Mandatory:
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- Proven capability to operate in high-pressure or challenging environments with minimal supervision
Qualifications:
- WHS White Card
- Working Safely at Heights
- Working in Confined Spaces
- Asbestos Awareness Certification
Security Clearance:
- Must hold a current Australian Government Negative Vetting Level 2 (NV2) clearance at time of application.
