Registered Nurse (RN) Medical Cardiac Stepdown Unit
Location: Cincinnati OH 45219
Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule: Days 3x12 Hour Shifts
Job Summary
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality patient-centered care in a Medical-Surgical Cardiac Stepdown unit. The RN will utilize evidence-based practice and clinical judgment to assess plan implement and evaluate care for patients with complex medical and cardiac conditions. Care delivery will align with professional nursing standards ethical guidelines and state regulatory requirements while supporting a collaborative family-centered care model.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care using the nursing process (assessment diagnosis planning implementation evaluation)
- Monitor and manage patients on cardiac telemetry and stepdown care
- Administer medications IV therapies transfusions and other ordered treatments
- Provide care for patients requiring non-invasive ventilation support
- Perform and interpret basic cardiac monitoring and assist with 12-lead EKGs
- Ensure accurate documentation and adherence to regulatory standards
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Educate patients and families regarding conditions treatments and discharge planning
- Maintain compliance with infection control safety and hospital protocols
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong clinical knowledge in medical-surgical and cardiac nursing
- Ability to provide culturally competent and age-appropriate care
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to adapt to changing clinical situations in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to professional development and continuing education
Education & Licensure
- Diploma in Nursing required (BSN preferred)
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Ohio or Compact)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) American Heart Association
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) American Heart Association
