The Project Engineer supports the technical operations of the North American business as part of the product application and engineering team. This role is responsible for designing custom large-scale door systems used in demanding industrial environments such as aircraft hangars shipyards launch facilities and mining operations.
Working within a design-build environment the Project Engineer collaborates across design fabrication and installation phases partnering with contractors architects engineers and government entities to deliver high-quality engineered solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with Sales Project Management Production and Installation teams to ensure customer requirements are met
Design large door systems including shop drawings assembly drawings and bills of materials
Support manufacturing by resolving design-related issues and adapting to material or supply constraints
Assist field teams by modifying designs to address installation and structural integration challenges
Participate in client-facing engineering discussions and provide technical expertise
Develop and maintain accurate technical documentation for products and projects
Required Skills & Qualifications
Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D or 3D); experience with AutoCAD Mechanical or Inventor is a plus
Strong engineering fundamentals with solid analytical and design capabilities
Experience managing projects from specification through execution
Background in preparing manufacturing-ready drawings
Excellent communication organization and time management skills
Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced project-driven environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
Exposure to programming languages (Python C# C VB etc.) is a plus
Self-motivated with a positive and proactive approach
Education & Experience
Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field preferred
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a technical or engineering role
Work Environment
Primarily office-based with 1020% travel to job sites
Involvement in prototyping and validation activities
Must be eligible to access restricted or government facilities (U.S. citizenship or green card required)
