Job Title: Occupational Therapist Acute Care
Job Type: Contract (13 Weeks)
Work Schedule: Day Shift 5x8 Hours (7:00 AM 3:00 PM)
Location: Walla Walla WA
Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide care in an acute care hospital setting. The ideal candidate will evaluate and treat patients to improve their ability to perform daily activities and regain independence following illness or injury.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate patients and develop individualized treatment plans
- Provide occupational therapy services in an acute care setting
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for patient care planning
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation using EMR systems
- Educate patients and caregivers on therapy techniques and safety
- Float between units as needed
Patient Care Expectations:
- Caseload: 810 patients per day
Qualifications:
- Active Occupational Therapist (OT) license (state-specific must be in hand)
- Minimum 1 year of acute care experience required
- Strong clinical communication and time management skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Certifications:
- BLS certification (if required by facility)
