Responsibilities
Media Relations & Publicity
- Develop and execute a comprehensive media relations strategy to elevate the visibility of NaphCare and its subject matter experts.
- Build and maintain relationships with healthcare policy and industry journalists.
- Draft and distribute press releases media advisories statements and talking points.
- Pitch proactive stories highlighting innovation patient care initiatives partnerships and industry leadership.
- Coordinate media interviews and prepare executives with briefing materials and messaging.
Strategic Communications
- Identify and develop newsworthy stories across the organization.
- Partner with internal teams to communicate key company milestones program launches and facility partnerships.
- Support corporate reputation management through thoughtful messaging and positioning.
Executive & Thought Leadership
- Support leadership visibility through contributed articles speaking opportunities and media placements.
- Develop executive messaging for industry events interviews and announcements.
- Position NaphCare leaders as trusted voices in correctional healthcare
Issues & Crisis Communications
- Assist in developing and maintaining crisis communication plans.
- Provide guidance and messaging support during sensitive or high-visibility situations.
- Monitor media coverage and public sentiment.
Content & Reporting
- Write and edit high-quality external communications materials.
- Track media coverage and measure PR performance metrics.
- Provide regular reporting on media reach sentiment and impact.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Public Relations Communications Journalism or related field.
- 58 years of public relations or corporate communications experience.
- Proven track record securing media coverage and managing press relationships.
- Strong writing editing and storytelling skills.
- Experience supporting executive communications and thought leadership initiatives.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong judgment when handling sensitive communications.
Preferred Experience
- Healthcare healthcare services or regulated industry experience.
- Experience with crisis or issues management.
- Familiarity with healthcare policy behavioral health or correctional healthcare environments.
- Media monitoring and PR analytics tools experience.
