Minimum Qualifications (Education and Experience):
Bachelors degree in business administration public administration or related field preferred.
One year of job-related experience in compliance licensing or related field.
Other combinations of education and experience will be evaluated on an individual basis.

Job Overview: On behalf of the State Superintendent of Public Instruction the Educator Licensure Unit determines educator license eligibility and issues licenses to qualifying educators in the State of Montana. Licensure information and disaggregated data is reported to the Superintendent of Public Instruction higher education legislators and provided to the Board of Public Education. Recommendation for educator licensure rules and changes to rules are made to the Superintendent of Public Instruction for submission to the Board of Public Education to assist in actively ensuring the opportunity for placement of qualified educators in Montana schools. The Educator Licensure Unit is responsible for issuing approximately 7600 licenses annually.
