The Opportunity

AMA Insurance is looking to host a communications intern from May 1 Aug. 21 2026 to assist the AMA Insurance Communications Team with projects and support the organizations communications needs.

How Youll Make an Impact

  • Create communications plans and develop supporting materials.
  • Research write and edit stories of interest to staff and members.
  • Edit content to ensure quality effectiveness and consistency across various channels.
  • Support the production and publishing of internal communication strategies including an employee newsletter employee reports and intranet.
  • Support the planning and execution of external communications strategies including emails letters newsletters and web articles.
  • Produce social media content monitor channels and resolve complaints.
  • Assist with media relations and tracking media coverage.

What You Bring to the Table

  • You have completed or are in the process of completing a post-secondary diploma or degree in communications public relations marketing journalism or related field.
  • You have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • You know your way around various social media platforms and keep up with social media trends.
