- 10-hour & 12-hour rotating shifts
- 36 hours per week (guaranteed)
Job Summary
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist General to perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound procedures in a critical access hospital setting. This role requires strong technical expertise attention to detail and a patient-focused approach to support accurate diagnosis and exceptional care delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general diagnostic ultrasound examinations as ordered by physicians
- Select appropriate transducers and imaging techniques based on exam requirements
- Prepare and educate patients to ensure comfort and understanding of procedures
- Position patients effectively to capture optimal diagnostic images
- Acquire review and ensure quality and accuracy of ultrasound images
- Review patient history and clinical data prior to procedures
- Maintain accurate documentation and proper image labeling
- Assist physicians during procedures when required
- Ensure patient safety privacy and comfort at all times
- Monitor and maintain ultrasound equipment; report any malfunctions
- Follow infection control protocols and facility safety guidelines
- Support workflow efficiency in a fast-paced clinical environment
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound/Sonography program
- ARDMS certification preferred/required
- Experience in general ultrasound preferred
- Strong patient care and communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a rural or critical access setting
- Solid understanding of ultrasound imaging techniques and protocols
