Job Summary

About The Team

The Library is primarily responsible for delivering information resources and services that support learning teaching and research across the academic community.

Within the Library the Resources and Collection section oversees the acquisition access metadata creation and overall management of the Universitys physical and digital collections including Special Collections.

Your New Role!

Under the direction of the Senior Library Officer Special Collections this role supports a range of activities including sorting indexing digitising preserving and storing materials within the Special Collections.

Your key responsibilities will include

  • Sort and sleeve materials for digitisation.

  • Indexing and data entry.

  • Support collection maintenance activities and performing other duties as required.

This casual role attracts a competitive casual rate of $39.33p/hr $40.50 p/hr inclusive of 25% casual loading plus 12% employer superannuation contributions.

What youll bring to the role:

  • Completion of Year 12; or equivalent relevant experience or combination of relevant experience and education/training.

  • Demonstrated ability to work accurately with attention to detail.

  • Demonstrated ability to work flexibly and effectively and to manage competing priorities.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and cooperatively in a variety of teams as required.

  • Experience in the effective use of software applications and library management systems.

  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
