Telecommunications Manager II Networking & Telecommunications (Hybrid)

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM excluding State holidays
Work Model: Hybrid onsite and telework
Pay Rate:$60.00 per hour
Assignment Duration: July 3 2026 through March 3 2027 with potential for extension

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Telecommunications Manager II to lead and oversee Network Services operations within a complex enterprise environment. This role is responsible for ensuring the stability performance and security of network infrastructure while supporting key initiatives and guiding cross-functional collaboration.

This is a hands-on leadership role requiring both strategic oversight and operational execution across networking telecommunications and security platforms.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide leadership and oversight of Network Services operations including WAN LAN wireless SD-WAN and network security platforms
* Oversee daily operational activities including incident management problem resolution and service availability
* Act as escalation point for high-priority network and infrastructure issues
* Coordinate and prioritize workload across Network Services teams including infrastructure and security functions
* Support and drive key initiatives including:
* SD-WAN implementation and optimization
* Network monitoring and observability tools such as ThousandEyes and AppDynamics
* Security integrations including Secure Workload next-generation firewalls and identity services
* Manage vendor relationships and provide oversight of network-related services and contracts
* Ensure compliance with security standards policies and regulatory requirements
* Participate in change management processes ensuring proper documentation and approvals
* Collaborate with Infrastructure Engineering Data Center Telecom and Security teams on cross-functional initiatives
* Provide status reporting risk identification and mitigation planning to leadership
* Maintain and update network architecture documentation processes and operational procedures
* Support knowledge transfer and continuity planning for the return of the permanent Network Services Manager

Minimum Qualifications

* 7 years of supervisory or management experience including leading teams setting direction and driving performance
* Demonstrated ability to promote collaboration accountability and team success

Preferred Qualifications

* 7 years of experience with Cisco VoIP administration design and maintenance
* 5 years managing networking teams in highly complex enterprise environments
* Experience supporting 24x7x365 network voice and video operations
* Strong background in enterprise networking technologies infrastructure operations and security integration
