As a Security Officer - Entry Desk Monitor in Long Island City you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education and more. As a Front Desk Officer in an educational location you will be the welcoming first point of contact helping to monitor access assist students staff and visitors and support a secure environment through strong communication and attention to detail. At Allied Universal you will bring a caring reliable and professional approach while working with integrity and teamwork to support daily security-related operations.

Job Schedule:

What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to students faculty staff and visitors by following site-specific policies front desk procedures and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Monitor lobby and reception areas manage visitor check-in processes verify identification and/or access credentials and report unusual activity or concerns to the appropriate contacts.
• Respond to incidents questions and critical situations in a calm professional problem-solving manner while supporting a professional presence at the front desk.
• Answer phones provide directions document daily activity and/or incidents and communicate important information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
• Help to deter unauthorized access by observing entry points maintaining awareness of who enters and exits the location and following established escalation procedures when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
