ABOUT THE ROLE
Under the supervision of the Senior Manager Growth and Retention the Coordinator Growth & Retention will coordinate the day-to-day operations and logistics of Growth and Retention programs (First Shift Dreams Come True Pathway to Hockey) and assist with Women and Girls Hockey initiatives (Esso Fun Days World Girls Ice Hockey Weekend Global Girls Game) while also providing support on various tasks related to the overall Growth and Retention strategy to ensure its successful implementation.
HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE OVERALL MISSION OF HOCKEY CANADA
Updating of critical paths and calendar of commitments related to programs and specific events
Work together with supervisor on program analysis and reports
Coordinate tasks related to specific programs:
NHL/NHLA First Shift
Portal management and liaison with supplier
Collect updates and feedback from partners
Carry out daily refunds and transfers
Prepare weekly reports to include Participants MHA applications and Input selection process decisions for all applicants
Payment portal - Review monthly statements Collaborate with Finance Department on wire transfers prepare reports as required
Manage the First Shift inbox provide responses in a timely fashion and transfer emails to Bauer managers
Attend weekly First Shift partner calls
Support Members with event delivery provide in person and collateral support at selected events
Coordinate the collection of data to support supervisor in decision making and reporting.
Dreams Come True
Collaborate with the Hockey Canada Foundation to coordinate logistical aspects of the program.
Provide the necessary documents to host MHAs / Members
Collaborate with Operations Department on the ordering and delivery of all items required for program support and delivery
Manage with Finance Department the distribution of funds to hosts
Follow-up with all parties involved to ensure the retention of participants
Event delivery and provide in person or collateral support at selected events
Pathway to Hockey
Daily management of applications with Members
Coordinate registration links with MHAs and supply materials to participants
Tracking and analytics
Women and Girls Hockey Initiatives
Collaborate with the Manager Growth & Retention - Women & Girls Hockey on the delivery of events and initiatives
Growth and Retention Strategy
Provide support and logistics with Growth and Retention Strategy priorities
Collaborate with supervisors on the collection of analytics to develop reports
Provide admin support for Women and Girls Hockey growth and retention initiatives
Coordinate data and survey collection requests related to Growth & Retention programs
EXPERIENCE YOULL NEED
A post-secondary education in sport administration sport science recreation business administration or relevant field
Working knowledge of the Hockey Canada/Membership/MHA structure
Solid understanding of grassroots / entry level programming in hockey (and/or other sports)
Experience in event planning coordination and delivery is an asset
At minimum a basic understanding of systems processes and data analysis
Ability to balance a heavy and varied workload
Excellent interpersonal skills; promotes cooperation and commitment within a team to achieve goals and objectives
Exceptional organizational and time management skills; ability to balance conflicting priorities in order to manage workflow ensure the completion of essential projects and meet deadlines
High level of integrity; earns others trust and respect through consistent honesty and professionalism in all interactions
Demonstrated high level of proficiency in Microsoft Programs Outlook and ability to quickly adapt to new technology and easily acquire new technical skills
Ability to work staggered hours evenings and weekends as necessary
Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset
Satisfactory Criminal Record Check including Vulnerable Sector Verification
WORKING CONDITIONS
Travel requirements are moderate with an expectation of up to 25 days per year
