Employment Type: Labour hire contract (Approx. 8 months with potential to extend)

Hourly Pay Rate: $80.72 per hour 12% superannuation
Security Clearance/Requirements: Must be eligible to work in Australia
Working Arrangements: On-site with hybrid arrangements available
ABOUT THE ROLE
An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Database Analyst to join a high-performing government team delivering data-driven insights to support strategic and operational decision-making.
Working within a digital solutions environment this role focuses on extracting analysing and interpreting data from multiple systems to produce meaningful reporting and visualisations. You will play a key role in transforming complex datasets into actionable insights supporting performance visibility governance and organisational outcomes.
This is a highly collaborative role where you will engage with stakeholders across business units to understand reporting needs identify trends and deliver innovative analytics solutions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Collect cleanse validate and analyse data to deliver accurate and timely insights
Develop maintain and enhance dashboards and reporting solutions (primarily using Power BI and Excel)
Provide end-to-end analytics across projects workforce and operational domains
Produce reporting packs trend analysis and forecasting insights
Design and manage data models automated reporting pipelines and reusable datasets
Ensure data quality integrity and consistency across multiple data sources
Maintain documentation including data definitions workflows and reporting processes
Engage with stakeholders to translate business requirements into reporting solutions
Present insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders in a clear and actionable way
Support continuous improvement and promote data literacy across the organisation
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Strong experience in data analysis reporting and visualisation
Advanced proficiency in Power BI and Microsoft Excel
Experience designing interactive dashboards and data models
Ability to analyse complex datasets and deliver actionable insights
Experience with data integration automation and reporting pipelines
Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
Ability to present complex information to non-technical audiences
Highly desirable:
Experience with SQL or Python
Exposure to CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce)
Familiarity with project management tools (e.g. MS Project Jira)
Understanding of project management methodologies (Agile PRINCE2 PMBOK)
