Dining Room Server

Responsibilities

• Setup the front dining room stations tables soup napkins polish silverware/glassware and check assigned section.
• Acknowledge guests immediately and greet them in a professional and cheerful manner.
• Accurately take orders when guests are ready.
• Immediately ring checks into the POS system after taking orders.
• Serve the food and beverage properly and in a timely manner.
• Present guest check in a timely manner ensuring any up-selling techniques have been used.
• Close checks immediately after guests have signed or paid cash.
• Check identification of guests to ensure they are of legal age to consume alcoholic beverages. Refuse to serve beverages in a polite manner to guests who are not of legal age.
• Comply with health laws liquor laws and safety guidelines.
• Thorough knowledge of all menu items ingredients and wine beer and spirits list.
• Complete side work duties as assigned.
• Handle all equipment and supplies in a safe manner and protect from damage and/or breakage.
• Maintain neatness and cleanliness of working areas including vacuuming dusting wiping etc
• Perform Busperson duties as needed.
• Answer the telephone in a professional and courteous manner.
• Perform Host/Hostess duties when needed.
• Perform cleaning projects when instructed.
• Performs all other duties as assigne

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Communication skills
• Basic reading & writing skills
• Basic math skills
• Ability to multi-task
• Ability to reach bend stoop wipe push and pull
• Ability to work any shift weekends and holidays.
• Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time
• High volume serving experience preferably in a fine dining setting required
• Must have a professional courteous and friendly manner.
• Must be able to occasionally bend/stoop squat reach above shoulder level crouch kneel and repeatedly carry up to 25 lbs and stand for several hours at a time.
• Previous experience with aPOS system in a restaurant environment preferred.
• Alcohol service certification a plus if not must attend a Company provided training session within 30 days.
• Must have sufficient mobility to perform assigned tasks within service time frames established by the company.
• Must be able to perform tasks in a safe manner and adhere to company policies and procedures.
