Job Summary
Position Summary:
The Trinity Homes Laundry Technician performs laundry and linen services for Trinity Homes including the collection sorting washing drying folding and distribution of resident and facility linens. This role supports a clean comfortable and well-organized living environment by maintaining linen quality and consistently following infection prevention safety and organizational guidelines. Working within a collaborative team-oriented setting the Trinity Homes Laundry Technician partners closely with nursing environmental services and other departments to ensure reliable and timely linen availability that supports resident care and daily operations.

Physical Requirements:
The Trinity Homes Laundry Technician requires frequent standing and walking on hard surfaces for most of the shift as well as bending kneeling reaching and repetitive arm and hand movements when cleaning handling linens or operating equipment. Team members must be able to push and pull carts that may be heavily loaded and lift or carry items such as linen bundles cleaning supplies and waste containers typically up to 35-50 pounds. Adequate vision hearing and manual dexterity are required to safely operate equipment handle chemicals according to labels and work in occupied resident areas.
Environmental Requirements:
Work is performed in a longterm care laundry environment with exposure to heat humidity noise from machinery soiled linens and cleaning agents. The role requires use of personal protective equipment adherence to infectionprevention standards and safe materialhandling techniques. Schedules may include varied shifts weekends and holidays to support continuous linen service.

Key Responsibilities:
- Collect soiled linens and personal items from designated locations and transport them safely to the laundry area.
- Sort linens and garments according to type washing requirements and facility procedures.
- Operate commercial washers dryers and related equipment in accordance with manufacturer instructions and safety practices.
- Fold stack and prepare clean linens and garments for delivery ensuring items meet quality and cleanliness standards.
- Deliver clean linens and personal items to resident rooms units and storage areas according to assigned routes.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the laundry work area and report equipment or supply issues to supervision.
Licenses and Certifications Required:
- None
Educational Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience Requirements:
- Previous Laundry experience is preferred.
- Prefers labeling room staff to have previous clothes labeling/sewing/laundry experience.
Special Skills or Training Requirements:
- Ability to understand laundry procedures.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks with accuracy.
