Support Worker (Childrens Home)
Location: Maidstone Kent
Hours: Full-time
About the Role
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to join our team supporting children and young people aged 818 within a residential care setting.
This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference by providing a safe nurturing and structured environment where young people can thrive develop independence and reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
- The Support Worker will provide a safe stable and caring home environment
- Support young people with daily routines including school meals and activities
- Promote emotional well-being independence and life skills
- Act as a positive role model and build trusting relationships
- Contribute to care planning risk assessments and behaviour management strategies
- Support recreational social and educational activities (including evenings and weekends)
- Work collaboratively with colleagues families and external professionals
- Maintain accurate records reports and logs in line with regulatory requirements
- Safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people at all times
- Support health needs including attending appointments and administering care (with training)
Additional Duties
- Participate in training supervision and performance reviews
- Support educational development including basic numeracy and literacy
- Assist with household tasks such as cooking and maintaining a clean environment
- The Support Worker will ensure health & safety standards are met at all times
- Provide support across services where required
