This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially focused professional who thrives on winning new business building strong relationships and driving revenue growth across a key regional territory.
The Opportunity
As a Business Development Executive you will take ownership of developing new business opportunities across the North West offering tailored freight and logistics solutions across multiple transport modes.
This is a hybrid role aligned to a Manchester office with a strong emphasis on client-facing activity and regional travel.
Key Responsibilities
Identify target and secure new business opportunities across the region
Build manage and convert a strong sales pipeline
Develop an in-depth understanding of client needs to offer tailored logistics solutions
Maintain and grow relationships with existing clients
Conduct regular face-to-face meetings (minimum 3 days per week)
Accurately track activity and opportunities within the CRM system
Negotiate commercial terms while ensuring minimal risk to the business
Collaborate with internal teams and international partners to deliver solutions
Prepare sales reports forecasts and pipeline analysis
Carry out due diligence on prospective clients
What Were Looking For
Minimum 2 years experience in a business development or sales role (freight/logistics preferred)
Strong knowledge of import/export and multimodal transport operations
Proven ability to generate new business and achieve targets
Excellent communication negotiation and presentation skills
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Proficiency in Microsoft Office particularly Excel
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
Right to work in the UK
